Utterly classic and effortlessly chic. That’s exactly how Valerie and Michael’s wedding at the Bond Ballroom was. As she was getting dressed, everyone in the room was oohin and ahhhing over her dress and she said when she walked into the boutique, she told them that she wanted a big ballgown.
Valerie always knew she wanted to experience the classic moment of the church doors opening and walking down the aisle toward her future husband in a princess ball gown. Fortunately she found that man at the University of Connecticut a decade ago when they met as friends, and serendipitously they crossed paths about 8 years ago at the right time to begin their romance. And as the doors to that church opened, she indeed made her way toward him in her beautiful ballgown, as a big smile lit up his face and his eyes got watery.
Valerie and Michael attended an event at the Bond Ballroom while he was in law school at the University of Connecticut and they were blown away by the classic, grand elegance of the ballroom, anchored by its striking chandelier. They are both traditionalists who envisioned an elegant, classic white wedding and the Bond Ballroom fit their vision perfectly. The Bond evokes a sense of the classic American ballroom wedding and sets the stage for a timeless romance, which was exactly what they wanted – and got – for their wedding day dreams.
