It was quite possibly the most fun event of our wedding season, and not because of the flawless design by 5th Avenue Weddings & Events, or the amazing food by Abigail Kirsch. Or even the custom clothing by Sabyasachi. What made Megan and Rohit’s wedding weekend an absolute blast was the fact that they have the very best group of friends and family around.  With nods to both of their cultures and traditions sprinkled through the Sangeet and wedding day, they made sure that their loved ones knew that their sense of tradition ran deep, but that they also put a high priority on the whole weekend being SO MUCH FUN. Meena DiPasquale from 5th Avenue Weddings and Events, with the help of her team, put together an absolutely flawless weekend. We started with the Sangeet on Friday evening at The NY Palace Hotel, the place where Megan works, but also the perfect backdrop for this quintessential NYC couple. Their friends and family dined on impeccably prepared Indian food, while they danced the night away overlooking St. Patricks Cathedral. Complete with a henna artist, and homemade floral garlands, it was a night that delighted all the senses. On Saturday we started off the morning in the presidential suite of the NY Palace hotel, where Megan got dressed and ready with her 13 bridesmaids. Megan’s sari was custom made by Sabysachi, in a stunning shade of champagne. After their first look outside the NY Palace Hotel, we made our way over to Chelsea Piers Lighthouse, where Rohit was ushered in on horseback to the tune of Neil Desai’s incredible drumming skills, as their friends and family danced and cheered alongside the side of the Hudson River. It was colorful, it was loud, and it was an incredible time of fun! Megan and Rohit’s wedding ceremony was a traditional Hindu ceremony, complete with hand fasting under the Mandap and exchanging of flower garlands. The party continued late into the evening to the tune of XYZ Band who were absolutely incredible, along with a surprise performance by XYZ. All in all, it was truly one of our most memorable events of the wedding season!

Chelsea Piers Lighthouse was the perfect venue for this modern Hindu Wedding. With beautiful walkways that overlook the water, and huge windows and banquet hall to set a perfect stage for Megan and Rohit’s Wedding day!

Sabyasachi did an AMAZING job creating Megan and Rohit’s stunning and modern Hindu, Sangeet and Wedding outfits.

Beautini by Brittany Lo made Megan and her brides mades natural and beautiful and camera ready for the Sangeet and and Wedding.

These FancyThat Invitations reflected the theme and beauty of Megan and Rohit’s wedding so well even before the event.

SugarLane Band and DJ Neil Desai together had everyone dancing and partying all night long at Chelsea Pier Lighthouse.
