She smiled. All. Day. Long. I walked in to the bridal Cottage where she was patiently and calmly waiting with her sister. She smiled big, told me that everything was going so perfectly that all she could do was sit and wait. And Smile. And smile she did, all day long, right through to the very last beat of the music at night. Because when you’re marrying your best friend, there’s nothing to do but smile, knowing you found your true soul mate.

He, too, smiled. But his smile was a bit different than the one I remembered. When I did Mike and Megan’s engagement shoot, his smile was a sarcastic, joking one….never short on the witty one liners. But on this day, his smile was different. Sweeter. Softer. And the breaths he took between those smiles were so much deeper. But smile he did, all day long, right through to the very last beat of the music at night. Because when you’re marrying your best friend, there’s nothing to do but smile, knowing you found your true soul mate.

Mike and Megan were married on the most perfect of September days where it was warm and sunny through the daytime and then a brisk chilly night rolled in reminding us that fall is fast approaching. They were married a Wood Acres Farm, the most adorable of venues, and a venue that perfectly suited them and their personalities.
