He was the kind of kid that often left you baffled. One minute he would be swinging from branch to branch in a tree, the next he would be using the pool noodles in inappropriate ways, and the next he could be found running around the yard in his sister/mother/brothers underwear. Such a professional post this is, I know. And you’re probably wondering how I know all of this. Tommy and his family are some of our oldest and closest family friends. So close, in fact, that our families lived under the same roof for a stint of time. I guess you could say that over the years, I’ve gotten to know Tommy pretty well. His three other siblings were always pretty normal, but Tommy was a special one. Always entertaining. Always bouncing off the walls. Always making everybody laugh.
Insert Jen.
Jen is one of the sweetest, kindest, most genuine hearts I’ve come to know. One day way back when in high school, she decided to ask this rambunctious and cute boy to prom and since then they’ve been inseparable. Jen balances Tommy in a way that nobody else ever has. There is something about her that, while I’m sure enjoys all of his crazy antics, also has the ability to bring out the man in him. She calms him down. Balances him out. Keeps him grounded. In her, he found his safe place.
When they showed up to their engagement session with a trailer, I knew it was going to be an amazing session! Jen overdid herself with AMAZING props for this. She had a clear vision in mind and I hope that I was able to help make that vision come to life. I have no doubt that her wedding will be even more amazing!
Tommy and Jen, you know I love you guys! And although I can’t be there on your wedding day, I have no doubt that Rachel will do a fantastic job!
