There’s something about the way he loves her. The way he slowly tucks her hair behind her ears and kisses her softly, all while he’s looking deep into her eyes. Because the truth is, he just can’t take his eyes off of her. He’s the guy that, when she’s changing outfits, says things to me like “I love her makeup today but, really, she is every bit as beautiful when she wakes up” and things like “Do you understand just how lucky I am? I mean, how one earth did I get her??”. She is the light of his life, the queen of his days, the sunshine on his stormy days… and it shows. Because there is something about a woman who is loved so fiercely that makes her shine. And radiate. And glow. From the inside out, and the core of her being, this woman is a woman who knows her place in the world and in his heart.
There’s something about the way she loves him. How she supports his dreams and makes him laugh. How she melts into his big teddy bear hugs and lures him in with a coy smile and eyes that sparkle. How she invites him in to the deepest parts of her heart and soul, trusting him completely. And it shows. It shows in his confidence. It shows in his stride. Because there is something about a man who is trusted and respected that makes him stand a little bit taller and love a little bit harder.
