I first met Megan on a humid weekday afternoon where she came to my apartment just before I moved and, with a smile a far as the east is from the west, she completely won me over. Which I hear may or may not be how she also won Mike over. 😉 She told me she was in town studying at her parents place for a couple days before she headed back to NYC to be with Mike, where she would then head to Seattle to take the bar exam, before she came back to NYC and, finally, making her way back to Seattle to settle theirs lives. All in a matter of a couple weeks. And, just like that, I was exhausted for her. But still, she smiled. And she laughed, as though no amount of stress in the world could hold her down.
I met Mike for the first time during their GTKY shoot and he, too, smiled and laughed. Nonstop. He made remarks about lame engagement photos he saw and made me promise not to do certain poses. And through it all, between his devilish smirk are curly locks, he cracked jokes that had Megan laughing hysterically. And I imagine that is exactly how he won her heart.
I imagine Mike and Megan, years from now, sitting in rocking chairs on the deck of her grandparents waterside home, still laughing. Laughing at themselves, laughing about life, laughing about how the amazing love they share began. Because, really, there isn’t anything better in life than love and laughter.
Meet Megan and Mike
We did their engagement session at the beachside home of Megan grandparents in Old Lyme, CT….which was like a dream for me. It was the perfect New England summer cottage, complete with all the charm in the world. And, just like that, I was smitten.
These are great! I love the theme!! And that B&W one in the boat?! Swoon.
