Coming at you on this goooooorgeous Monday afternoon with part 3 of Brian and Katherine gorgeous vintage wedding at Commanders Mansion in Watertown, MA. This wedding did not dissapoint with flawless planning by Paula Marrero of Marrero Events, gorgeous flowers by Karla Cassidy Designs, catering by Capers Catering, and entertainment by Jimmie Esposito of Moveit Music. I am still gushing over Katherine stunning, porcelain-like beauty, Brian’s handsomeness, and the overall love and laughter that surrounded them on their wedding day at Commanders Mansion in Watertown, MA. It was a GORGEOUS wedding!
Katherine and Brian, thanks SO MUCH for allowing me to be a part of your special day!
Brian and Katherine made this daisy chuppah themselves and were quite proud of it. The top of the chuppah was hand quilted by Brian’s mother, and will be turned into a full queen size quilt for their new home. How special is that?!?!The cutest mini attendants ever!Katherine’s niece, Mia, was told to drop her flowers slowly and one at a time. She took those words very seriously and carefully placed each petal down one at a time, in a straight line. As she was doing this she looked up and noticed one of the daisies lining the aisle and got totally distracted. She walked over to it, picked it out of the ground and….…went and handed it to Brian at the front of the altar area. It was the sweetest thing ever! Everyone started laughing and it definitely added a special memory to their wedding. It’s go time!Love those looks! The gardens of Commanders Mansion in Waterford made for a gorgeous backdrop for their wedding, and was a beauty to photograph.Katherine and Brian wrote their own wedding vows which added a really special and emotional touch to their wedding at Commanders Mansion.Husband and wife!! Yay!!Mazel tov!Karla Cassidy Designs did a fantastic job of keeping the centerpieces very simple with an organic feel, so as not to distract from the beauty of the mansion itself. The escort cards were another DIY project that Brian and Katherine were very proud of. They planted their own grass and carefully watered it and made sure it grew well so that it could be a nice plush bed for the cards.During cocktail hour inside the Commanders Mansion Katherine and Brian had games available for the guests to play. If you know anything about me, you know that I looooove games, so this idea was right up my alley!Brian and Katherine have a pet hedgehog that is very near and dear to their hearts but because Reggie couldn’t be there, they had hedgehog cake toppers, hedgehog cookies, and a hedgehog ring bearer pillow/stuffed animal. I love when clients incorporate personal touches like that into their wedding! For their first dance inside the main ballroom at Commanders Mansion, brian and Katherine did a choreographed swing dance to fit with their vintage style and vibe of the wedding.Brian and Katherine asked some of their guests to bring cookies with them to the wedding. I was BLOWN AWAY by the quality of these cookies. They all looked like they came from a professional baker, and the guests just loved bringing home little gift bags with the cookies in them!Jimmie Esposito of Moveit Music was on top of his game with the entertainment. It was, hands down, the best entertainment and dancing of any wedding reception I have ever been to. He perfectly mixed up oldies and classic in with some new stuff, and the dance floor was hoping all night!
What a beautiful wedding. I really loved all of the personal touches…. the photos made me feel like I was part of their day… Congrats to Katherine and Brian! <3
This was the most beautiful weddings I have ever been too. The location and the people were spectacular. The photography beautiful. Definitely a highlight for me in 2011.
