As we walked out of The Chanler at the end of the night, Rob and I looked at each other and agreed that Jill & Joey’s Newport wedding was one heck of a way to kick off the year. We also agreed that if every wedding were like theirs, we could shoot double and triple headers every weekend.

Jill & Joey’s wedding wasn’t about amazing details, although they were there. It wasn’t about a breathtaking backdrop, but make no mistake that the backdrop of an oceanview from the Cliff Walk was second to none. It wasn’t about elaborate fuss, and there wasn’t a shred of drama. Honest to God, I’m not sure I’ve ever met a couple my entire life that was just so perfectly suited for each other, so welcoming, so family-focused, and so well centered. Jill & Joey are the kind of people whose friends become family and whose family are their best friends. The love and joy surrounding them on their wedding day was unmistakable, and what a joy it was for us to be able to witness and capture it. Truth be told, I kinda want to be part of their circle myself, because they are just those kinds of people who have a magnetic draw.

Jill and Joey, we can’t thank you enough to allowing us to document just the start of what is bound to be the most beautiful life together. I can’t wait to work with you guys again and document important milestones in your marriage and life.
