Last month I met up with Caitryn and Jared for their engagement session at Hammonasset Beach in Madison, CT. I photographed most of the session on film, because I knew that the way the film would capture the light and colors would be the perfect compliment to the vibe we were going for.

Caitryn and Jared told me about their love for Summer, all things coastal, and oysters, so we decided to do a little beach picnic complete with freshly shucked oysters.

I love photographing engagement sessions on medium format film, because it captures the light in a really unique way. I am one of the few medium format film photographers in CT.

Hammonasset beach is especially lovely at sunset, which is when we shot Caitryn and Jared’s engagement session.

The beach is a perfect place for a Summer engagement session, and Hammonasset beach in Madison, CT is my favorite one to photograph at.
