European Wedding Photographer

Since I shot this wedding in Copenhagen, Denmark a few weeks ago I have been soooo excited to post it on my blog. As I have mentioned before, I simply love doing Destination weddings, and especially in Europe. The culture is so rich in tradition, and I love seeing the different rituals Europeans have as a part of their wedding ceremony. Weddings traditions in Denmark are very different than most American wedding traditions, and it makes my job a lot more fun when I get to learn something new.

Susan and Filip, thanks so much for letting me be a part of your special day!

I LOVED the french Alencon lace that covered Susan’s dress! I also loved the little leaves she put into her hair.

Susan in all her glory!

The handsome groom watching his bride walk down the aisle.

In Denmark the families sit together at the altar, facing each other, until the vows are exchanged, at which time the groom then comes over to the bride’s side.

I love this special moment Susan and her dad shared at the altar. Only the two of them will ever know what was said to evoke such genuine smiles!

THIS is what weddings are all about….look at how happy they both are!

One of my favorite things about European weddings is that the ceremony is often held in this great, old, spectacular cathedrals with exquisite architecture and details!

Like any gentleman would do, Filip is carrying his bride through the snow so that her dress and shoes don’t get muddy! What a trooper!

Major props to Susan who took off her fur wrap in -5 temps so that the top of her dress could be seen in some of the portraits. It was freeeeeeeeeezing out! We did all of their outdoor portrait in about 5 minutes because none of us could handle the cold any longer.

This very well may be my favorite portrait of the two of them…so timeless!

Susan and Filip did a nice twit to your typical winter wonderland wedding and went with grass green instead of typical winter colors The green really brightened up the place, and gave it a really modern feel. Each guest was given a small potted plant as a favor.

Typical nordic grub!

Congratulation Flip & Susan!! The photo of Flip carrying his beautiful wife was very loving. May they strive to strengthen each other with God’s help. Ecclesiastes 4:9-12
