Soul mates. Kindred spirits. One-in-the-same. Chrysanthi and Owen clearly represented the definition of all three. Their energy resonated at the same level and it was evident on this day above all others that they were destined to be together. To dance through life hand in hand hopelessly bound to one another.

They are lovers, but beyond that, they are best friends. To watch the aspects of these two relationships meshed into one flawless entity is truly incredible. The way she gazed into his eyes as she listened to her groom vow forever. The way he strokes her cheek as he brings her in for a kiss. Among the quiet row of friends and family they were captivated by only one another. In sync, in tune and undeniably in love.

The mutual understanding and connectedness between Chrysanthi and Owen was felt by everyone in the room. They exuded pure joy & their guests could not help but to join in their happiness. Toasts were given, echoing their unrequited love. Photos were taken, capturing every moment of their celebration. Marriage was the only thing that could make these two closer and everyone rejoiced in the coming together of the two soul mates.

Chrysanthi + Owen were such a pleasure for us to photograph. Both of them are firefighters and paramedics who love to spend their time outside playing and working. They have dedicated their lives to serving, loving and helping other people and their wedding reflected that and so much more. The color scheme they chose were blue, gold and white to compliment the Marines and Owen’s service uniform while the white and blue are commonly used in support of EMS. A portion of their registration gifts were donated to the American Diabetes association in support of one of their close family members. As if that wasn’t enough, in lieu of tradition favors they donated money on behalf of each guest to a charity that supports mental health + recovery of public service individuals and those who served in the military. Through these acts of kindness and generosity it is obvious to see Chrysanthi + Owen’s others-centered hearts. We were so happy to be able to give back to a couple who constantly put other people before themselves.
