Yesterday I posted that it was dreary and gloomy out and no sooner than I posted that, the sun broke through the clouds and it ended up being a gorgeous day. So today, I am going to try the same trick because it’s raining cats and dogs right now, and I’d love to see some of that autumn sunshine!
A couple weeks ago I got together with Catherine and Cameron (who I have affectionately begun calling “Cat + Cam) to do their engagement/GTKY session at Rogers Orchards in Southington, CT. Lately my clients have been stepping it up BIG TIME with the props and creativity they bring to our shoots and Cat + Cam did not disappoint! Complete with the turning leaves, some fresh apple cider, and a cute straw hat, I knew this session was about to be one for the books. I am beyond excited about their wedding next year, which I have been able to help come up with some ideas for. 🙂 But until May comes around, these gorgeous shots will have to hold you two over 😉
Cat + Cam did a fantastic job coordinating colors that would match with the fall foliage and backdrop of Roger ORchard for their engagement session.I absolutely loved the props they brought that matched the theme of an “Apple picking engagement session” – a basket to put apples in, a straw hat, a picnic blanket, and some other goodies.Cathleen totally worked it for the camera!Love the leg pop on the right.Loving the colored trees in the back! A bit of a trick for this – the trees actually didn’t turn yet but they way I had my camera set warmed up the photo and since the sun as hitting the trees in the background it made it look like the 3rd week of October when really is was the 1st. I may or may not have used this tactic on more than a few of the fall engagement sessions I have done in CT because everyone wants that pretty foliage! Love that romantic dusky sky over Rogers Orchard! After walking around Rogers Orchard we made our way over to a big red barn to do the rest of their engagement session.
Cat + Cam, I SERIOUSLY can’t wait for your wedding in May at the Webb Barn! If you looked this good for your apple picking engagement session, then I can only imagine how amazing you’ll look for your barn wedding!
Alicia…these are simply gorgeous! What a fun and beautiful session!
Great job 🙂 It just so happens I’m about to do an engagement session here in a little while! I found this post via google image search researching some ideas of poses for couples in orchards
