Inn at Woodstock Hill wedding
The rain poured down. For the entire day. Stopping only every so often as if to take a huge breath before pouring all over again. She stood by the window as she put the finishing touches on her ensemble, all the while looking at the clouds looming overhead and the drizzle than ran down each windowpane. She sighed softly, subtly hinted with disappointment, all the while staying readily focused on the fact that she soon would marry her best friend…rain or shine. We intended on doing a first look but the rain just wasn’t letting up. Until the last moment. A moment when there was a short break of the pouring drops of rain, and a break that we were determined to take advantage of. She walked out towards him, making sure to not let her dress drag through the puddles and the moment she touched him and leaned in for a kiss, the heavens broke open. Out of absolutely nowhere the clouds parted and the sun shone down on them so brightly. As if to say that, despite Mother Nature having a bad day, even she had to bow to the beauty of the love that Michael and Yang share. So, for a moment in time on their wedding day, the sun shone down upon them…and moments thereafter it began pouring again. But this time the pouring was not only of water from the sky, but of love, happiness, laughter and joy. And, make no mistake, that kind of pouring didn’t let up until the last guest said goodbye at the end of the evening. And I hope and pray that the real pouring we witnessed on their wedding day is the kind that stays with them for the rest of their life.

Yang began her day by getting ready at the Cottage at the Inn at Woodstock Hill, which was super cozy.
These are some of the prettiest flowers I’ve seen in a long time, put together by Stems Flower Design
Yang’s bridesmaids were some of the sweetest, prettiest bridesmaids we’ve ever worked with. They were super attentive to Yang as she got dressed in the Cottage at the Inn at Woodstock Hill
It’s quite obvious that Yang is a total knockout, but the light pouring through the windows of the cottage at the Inn at Woodstock Hill was just divine, making Yang look all the more radiant.
While the girls were getting ready at the cottage, the guys were getting ready in the main Inn…between beers and football plays.
There it is. Those few glorious moments of sunshine that shocked us all.
Michael was one of the most emotional grooms we’ve ever worked with and it was so touching to witness. It was obvious that he was so grateful for the woman that was about to become his bride.
Definitely an emotionally charged ceremony under the tent at the Inn at Woodstock Hill.
The grounds of the Inn at Woodstock Hill were absolutely breathtaking and perfect for weddings.
Not only was this bridal party amazing to work with, they are also incredibly good looking!
I absolutely love shooting Yang and Michael’s wedding at the Inn at Woodstock hill because there were so many backdrops to work with!
One of my favorite parts of shooting Yang and Michael’s wedding at the Inn at Woodstock Hill was the field behind it, which had all this beautiful tall grass and weepy willow trees.
Being the unique and creative couple that they are yang and Michael decided to reenact their entire relationship for their first dance. To put it mildly, it was entertaining.
My lovely bridesmaid Akshara excitedly informed me that the pictures were up!!! They’re beautiful! Thank you, thank you, thank you Alicia!!!! I love them, I got to relive the day again. <3
So pretty. My SIL had her reception there and its just full of charm! You nailed all the emotion and the b/w in the field is breathtaking. Beautiful!!
