Sarah + Matt’s Chamard Vneyard wedding
The rain poured down. With all vengeance and holding nothing back. They say that rain means good luck in your marriage and, if that is true, then Sarah and Matt were on track to have a ton of great luck. Because it just poured. I pulled up in front of the church and knew that the 15 feet I had to walk would leave me entirely drenched. As I watched guests pile in, hair completely flat, and clothes soaked, I knew I was about to be one more victim in mother natures line of shot. So I opened my door and ran, as hard and fast as I could. Upon entering the church I saw that everyone else was equally as soaked. I looked out the window at the near-black sky that clearly had no intentions of letting up, and I felt bad for Sarah. This was her wedding day. The day she had been waiting for and of all people, she and Matt deseed a perfect day. But Mother Nature refused. Until 30 seconds before her car pulled up when, miraculously, the clouds parted and the sun shone it’s face brightly upon Sarah as she gloriously stepped out of the car. It was as though the heavens finally understood how special of a day this was and that they needed to quit playing their water games. So she walked into the church, radiating with beauty. And as she made her way down the aisle, there was more rain, but this time of the salty tears type. I don’t think here was a dry eye in that church, including my own, because the beauty of Sarah and the joy of Matt was absolutely undeniable. And despite a dismal forecast for the rest of the day, the rain held off and gave way to an entire day of sunshine and warm weather. Because the love that Sarah and Matt share is one that is so beautiful, so sacred, that even Mother Nature doesn’t dare mess with.

Sarah’s dress from Mariella’s was one of the prettiest I’ve ever seen with it’s timeless elegance and prettiness.
Sarah did a fantastic job of coordinating all her colors and bringing purple into all the different elements of the wedding.
Sarah was lucky to have one of her bridesmaids be a costume designer, so any issues she had throughout the day with loose threads or popping buttons were no problem.
Sarah’s grandmother and grandfather celebrated their 58th wedding anniversary on the same day as Matt and Sarah’s wedding. They also realized as Sarah was getting dressed that her grandparents honeymooned in Lake George, the exact place that Sarah and Matt were spending time after their wedding.
The color coordination didn’t end with the girls because the guys brought in their own flair with some of the coolest shoes I’ve ever seen!
Love this emotional and touching moment as Sarah neared her way to the front of the church
Sarah’s grandfather, who is a minister, performed part of the ceremony.
The light at Chamard Vineyard was absolutely divine and perfect for Sarah and Matt’s wedding photos.
Young love at it’s finest.
Sharon Elisabeth did an absolutely spectacular job on the florals. Before Sarah and matt’s wedding I had never seen a bouquet made up of jus orchids but it probably one of the prettiest wedding bouquets I’ve EVER seen!
Sarah, my dear, you are drop.dead.gorgeous.
One of the things I loved most about shooting this wedding at Chamard Vineyard was all the little nooks and crannies where we could shoot.
We snuck into the wine room to grab some portraits of these two lovelies and I had to work my magic with lighting, because the light in there was really dim and tungsten.
I can’t say enough good things about this bridal party! They were so sweet, so caring, so nice, and so fun! And on top of that, they are ridiculously good looking. 🙂 If I could, I’d bring them align to every wedding I shoot to be the official wedding party.
GAH! These might possibly be two of my favorite bridal portraits EVER! The Vineyard was absolutely beautiful and made the perfect backdrop for some gorgeous wedding portraits.
I very rarely ask a bride to sit on the ground but Chamard Vineyard just called for a sweet, relaxed shot like this. Luckily Sarah obliged happily.
Matt looking all sharp and dapper.
Salon Le Rae did a great job on Sarah’s hair!
I tried my very hardest to limit this blog post to 75 images but with a couple as good looking as this, and a backdrop equally as beautiful, I think you could see the predicament I was in.
The best-ever-bridal-party out in the vineyards.
Chamard Vineyard is seriously one of the most beautiful wedding venues I’ve ever shot at!
Another little adorable nook at Chamard Vineyard
Chamard Vineyard has this iconic red vintage truck that is absolutely adorable.

The team at True Event did an incredible job at coordinating this event! Sarah’s brother, Drew, also did a phenomenal job at helping Sarah pull together all the loose ends of their event.
Nothing says “Classic New England wedding” like the quintessential Sperry tent!
La Cuisine was on hand with a fabulous presentation for all the courses of Sarah and Matt’s wedding.
The Black Tie Band provided entertainment for the evening and had the guests hopping on the dance floor all night long.
For a day that started off with torrential downpours, I’d say it ended quite spectacularly!
