He had never truly believed in luck, but if he did, Steve would have said he was the luckiest man on earth. At least for this one day. Because today he was marrying his best friend. His perfect partner. She completed him like the missing piece to a puzzle. She was everything to him. At the end of the aisle, he stood waiting, mustering all of his patience. Because she was worth waiting for.

Rachael stared at her reflection in the mirror. This wasn’t a dream, right? This was real. It had to be. It couldn’t be possible to feel this much love and happiness in a dream. The man of her dreams was waiting at the end of the isle. Waiting for her. Ready to commit himself to her and accept her vows of commitment in return, for the rest of their lives. If this was a dream, she didn’t want to wake up.

And of course it wasn’t a dream. Rachael really did walk down the isle. Steve really did place a ring on her finger. Their vows really did end in a kiss. The day really was perfect and it was everything they both ever could have dreamed of.
