So it’s one thing watch people walk down the aisle who you have built a good relationship with as clients. It’s a whole different thing to watch someone walk down the aisle who you have known for 7 years (Gosh, we are getting old!). Someone who has seen you through some of your roughest times. Someone who you have laughed with. Someone you have traveled halfway around the world with. Someone who, in every possible way, is one of the best friends a girl could ask for.
And it’s definitely a whole other thing to be both a bridesmaid in her wedding and the photographer. I am still catching my breath from that one.
Katie and Ty’s wedding day was absolutely perfect. Surrounded with all the love and support in the world from their family and friends, they promised forever to each other in a tiny white church in a little country town in Neshanic, NJ. And after they promised forever to each other, they danced the night away at the Neshanic Valley Golf Course, with the biggest smiles I have ever seen on their faces.
You guys, you guys. You know how much I love you and I could just keep gushing with words. And Katie, although I know you will get this adorable look on your face as you say “awww, Leeeeash” while reading these words, I will stop now because I know that really you just want to see pictures. And you should, because even though you are one of the most beautiful people I know in “real” life….you were 100 times more beautiful on your wedding day.
And hey, now that you’ve moved down south, keep those blond Dallas beauties in line, would ya?
While most brides spend the morning of their wedding being a little bit anxious and nervous, Katie just spent the whole morning doing what she does best- smiling and laughing.Katie’s mom and younger sister helped her get into her dress.I kinda adore these girls. While I was with the ladies, Adam headed over to grab some shots of the guys getting ready.Katie and Ty opted for a first look so that they could do the majority of their portraits before the ceremony. We were worried about rain but the clouds held up until we were all inside.Sometimes I like to tell Adam what to do or where to stand for that second angle. Then I see pictures like this and think “Maybe I should just shut up because he always seems to get these stunning shots”.This wedding was a bit different for us because I was actually a bridesmaid as well as the photographer (not recommended). Due to the fact that I was standing up during the ceremony, Adam was flying solo for the first time. Not too bad for a a first timer, huh?For the bridal party portraits we revisited this bridge in Princeton that we used for their engagement shoot. I loved the lines of it.After pictures were done we headed over to the Neshanic Valley Golf Course for their reception.Katie surprised Ty by writing and recording a song for them to dance to. Yes, she is both good looking and talented.Katie’s sister, Kristin, gave both a funny and emotional toast that was perfect.
Why don’t you go ahead and leave Ty and Katie a little comment love below and let them know which of their pictures were your favorite.
