Where words fail me with this post, I hope the images will speak up. I’ve been thinking for the last 5 days about how to intro this post but, really, I keep coming up short. How do you intro a wedding that was so simple and understated…yet spectacular in every way? How do you talk about what a wonderful celebration it was when the bride and groom, purposely, were not focused on being the center of attention but just the facilitators of a day of love and joy? How do you put into words the fact that every single detail of their wedding was thought through and filled with so much heart and love when there is a backstory to every one of these decisions, a backstory that would take far too long to explain to blog readers? Simply put, Tom and Natalie’s wedding was EVERYTHING. Everything I want every wedding to be. Everything I want every couple of ours to be. They are so genuine, so kind, so loving, so caring. They want to make sure everybody else is first, and every one of their friends and family know how important they are to them. Every single element of their wedding day oozed with story, legacy and heart. In addition to that – which is such an important characteristic for us to see in clients we take on – their wedding was timeless and elegant, classy and fashionable…really, just perfect in every way.

 

Tom and Natalie, I can’t thank you enough for allowing us the honor of being there on this momentous day of yours. Thank you for treating us like family and for just being the incredible people you are. I hope you never, ever lose the ability you have to make everyone around you feel like the most important person in your lives.

The bar area of Wadsworth mansion make the perfect backdrop for the guys to get ready. It’s masculine and classy – which is perfect for our grooms.

Natalie wore an Angel Sanchez dress that was TO DIE FOR! It was perfectly simple and classy but the precise and tailored detail on the dress gave it a special edge that made it exquisite.

Natalie is a broadway actress and is all thing elegant and graceful. With her southern charm and slight accent, she made such a lovely bride.

The light in the upstairs hallway of the Wadsworth mansion was absolutely divine and made for the perfect setting for Natalie’s bridal portraits inside the mansion.

Right as the front door was opened for her, Natalie caught a glimpse of Tom right before their first look and immediately teared up and had to collect herself before walking towards him….

…but I would say his reaction was worth those few extra seconds.

The light in the front of Wadsworth Mansion was absolutely incredible during Natalie and Tom’s first look so we took a few minutes to grab some pictures.

How absolutely stunning are these two?!!? They made taking pictures in front of Wadsworth Mansion an absolute joy and breeze for me.

Natalie had her bridesmaid wear a Lilly Pulitzer dress in Shorely Blue. It was important to her that the dresses were something the girls could wear again and the Lilly Pulitzer dresses didn’t disappoint!

One of the things I love most about shooting a wedding at the Wadsworth Mansion is the sprawling lawns and garden the have. It goes on for what seems like forever, and when standing on the balcony you can get the perfect view of the ceremony or or the lawns.

Wadsworth mansion weddings are seriously some of my favorite because there is such a great diversity in places to take pictures.

After we took some wedding pictures in the back of the Wadsworth mansion, we went back out front for a few more as the sun was low in the sky. I seriously love everything about shooting a wedding at the Wadsworth Mansion!
