Elizabeth Park engagement session West hartford photographer
There’s this thing called fate. And try as they did to fight it, fate had a mind of its own. Older family friends had been working on setting them up but, frankly, they just weren’t interested. But fate had a mind of its own, so they finally gave in just to stop the wannabe-setter-uppers. They decided to go on this kinda-sorta blind date just so they could say that they got it over with. Little did they know that they would have a great time that night and wouldn’t part ways until 2AM. On their first kinda-sorta blind date. Cause, you know, 2AM on kinda-sorta blind dates is totally normal, right? Somewhere between eating a nice dinner together with mutual friends, and playing wii bowling in his basement, Kelly fell for David. And David? Well let’s just say that he fell right back. Because fate has a mind of it’s own. And now, years later, they are each other’s everything. There is nobody who makes the other person laugh as much as they do and there isn’t a single other person that they can imagine spending the rest of their life with.
Because there’s this thing called fate. And it definitely had a mind of it’s own.
Meet Kelly + David
Let’s talk for one second about how pretty the light was at Elizabeth Park! Kelly brought all sorts of fierceness to this shoot so I went a little overkill on the individual shots of her 🙂 C’mon, how couldn’t you adore a blue dress like that? Not to be outdone by Kelly, David brought his own bit of fierceness to this shoot. We were lucky enough to do this engagement shoot at the tail end of blooming season for the roses in Elizabeth Park which made for a beautifully colorful backdrop. Not only are David and Kelly incredibly good looking, they are also a ton of fun and were a word or movement away from a good laugh during the whole engagement session. This photo may very well be my absolute favorite from their engagement session at Elizabeth park.We (er…I) may or may not have picked one of the last full bloom flowers at Elizabeth Park. Don’t hate. I knew it would look fantastic against Kelly’s blue dress.Love that dusky sky hovering over Elizabeth Park’s rose garden. This engagement session may go down as my all time favorite color scheme. Loooove all those blues and greens!

So beautiful, guys! Absolutely love the ones of you guys laughing together, and the black and white of Kelly smiling.
