She was there, with another man, and about to take the stage to give Ginger Rogers a run for her money. And while sitting with her team members in between heats she decided to watch the video she downloaded the day before. A video about car racing. Until, out of nowhere, some tall and handsome guy came and sat down next to her and struck up a conversation. She didn’t think much of him at first but, little did she know, fate had another plan that night.

He was there with another girl, and also in between heats. But as was usual, he wandered off from his partner in between. Then, in the most unexpected of times and places, a girl caught his eye from the corner. She was pretty and she was classy. And she was watching a video on car racing. In an instant, a moment in time was frozen. And it happened that shortly before he was about to go back on stage, this pretty girl allowed him a conversation. Which sparked a lifetime of conversations on that one fateful night.

Ashley and Brian met at a ballroom dancing competition and between their mutual love of dancing and cars, we decided that an engagement shoot with the theme of “It happened one night” would be perfect. So we met up at UCONN’s school of law campus and shot them dancing the [cold] night away with his vintage car in the background. Freezing these moments so that years from now when they are sitting in rocking chairs, they can reminisce about the good ‘ole days where they danced for hours and hours and fell in love with each other with each footstep.
