Best Places in New York City for Wedding Receptions

There is something about September 1 that always makes me feel excited and hopeful. A lot of people look to Jan 1 to set new goals but, for me, September 1 always meant a fresh start. It’s the beginning of my favorite month of the year, and my favorite season of the year. It’s the time of year when I don’t have to drag myself around as a hot and sweaty mess (summer is not my friend), and when the smells in the air are always fresh and clean. I decided this Autumn to create a bit of a bucket list – one that’s centered around doing things with my husband to improve our quality time together, and things for him that I know he enjoys.

Marriage matters fall list

  • Apple picking
  • Bake an apple pie
  • Picnic at winery
  • Carve pumpkins
  • Make s’mores by a fire
  • Hike
  • Foliage driving tour
  • Make butternut squash soup
  • Outdoor Sunday Brunch
  • Knit a scarf
  • Visit Portland, Maine
  • Make a pumpkin roll
  • Do the Whole 30 program for one month (hopefully this month!)
  • Chili and games night
  • S’mores by our fire
  • Bake cinnamon scones
  • Make a pile of leaves (and jump in them) with the kids
  • Start making some Christmas presents
  • Eat apple cider doughnuts
  • …with hot apple cider
  • Bake a loaf of honey whole wheat bread
  • Take a crisp morning walk when the leaves are changing
  • …and an evening one too

What are your plans for fall? Any ideas for what we should add to this list??
