For their first date, Kristene and Anthony planned to meet at a speakeasy called Bathtub Gin on the west side of New York City. Now this wasn’t just any speakeasy, it was a super cool speakeasy where you needed a secret password to enter. Upon arriving, they both looked at each other and asked “do you know the password?”, then quickly realized that neither one of them knew the code. After their first laugh together they walked to a place down the block called “Tipsy Parson.” It was there that the magic really began. They sipped on cocktails and immediately enjoyed each other’s company. Kristene knew Anthony liked her the moment he placed his hand on her leg as he told her about his life long passions and dreams. And while Kristene can’t remember exactly what she wore that one fateful night, Anthony remembers in detail.
Together, they are truly the most perfect pair. He is chivalrous, charming and a gentleman. She is alluring, sweet, funny and one of the most magnetic souls you’ll ever encounter.
If you knew them at all, then their magical engagement would be not be shocking at all. Just like in Sweet Home Alabama, Anthony took Kristene down a 5th Ave stroll to try on rings at Cartier, DeBeers, Tiffany’s, and more. He kept her waiting in suspense for the moment he would pop the question but it wasn’t long after, during a trip to Barbados and as they walked through Hunte’s Garden that he got down on one knee and propose to her. It was the easiest “yes!” she’s ever given, and they’ve been falling more madly in love with each other every single day since.
A couple weeks ago I met up with them at Hartford City Hall and Elizabeth park to do their engagement session. I absolutely LOVED working with them and can’t wait for their wedding next year!
