It was the best, most beautiful kind of wedding. When I first talked to Kirsten and Lenny about their wedding plans, they were absolutely clear on what their goal was for the day. Everyone says “it’s your day!” to the bride and groom, and it’s the one day that should be focused entirely on them. For Kirsten and Lenny, however, it was different. They didn’t want the spotlight on them – and not because either of them are afraid of the spotlight. On the contrary, Kirsten is the oldest of 5 kids and the eldest child stereotypically has no issues being in the spotlight and is a natural born leader – Kirsten is no exception. Lenny, as the baby of the family, is incredibly fun, outgoing, and the life of the party….as evidenced by the dancing photos below. Suffice to say neither of them shy away from the spotlight. But, for them, their wedding day was not a day to be in the spotlight. Instead, it was a day to shine a light on the faithfulness of God, and all that He has done for them. It was a day where the aim was for it to be a testimony of what happens when two hearts fully surrender to the Lord and His direction.
And, you guys, it was beautiful. It was so so so beautiful. I would shoot weddings like this 100 times over if I could because the day had so much purpose. It was like God himself attended the wedding, and it was incredible.
Congrats, you two! I can’t wait to capture so many more milestones for you guys as the years go by…
