Life is so often this crazy game of patience and waiting, learning to be content with the cards dealt to you, always dreaming and hoping for the best, but at the end of the day trusting that life is what it is and between God knowing the desires of your heart and following Him closely, things will work out as they were supposed to. Such was the case for Jess and Brandon for their maternity session. We spoke MONTHS ago about their anniversary session, and agreed that it would be amazing if we could do their session in the snow. For the last couple months we’ve been watching the weather but, alas, the few bits of snow we’ve had never fell on days that worked for us both. Last week week agreed that, no matter what, we would do their session this weekend because she was approaching 37 weeks of pregnancy…but I could tell that Jess was disappointed. She wanted a pristine white snowy winter backdrop, and I desperately wanted it for her as well. As the week carried on, we were both shocked to hear that a storm was coming at the exact perfect time. So it was, that morning, that her patience paid off and she got her beautiful, dreamy anniversary and maternity session that celebrated the last few weeks of of it being just the two of them. On the banks of the CT river, the the prettiest sunrise light and trees covered in snow like it was straight out of a movie.
