It was as though a few pages were torn from an old fairy tale storybook, and reenacted play by play. An old fair tale of strapping gentleman and lovely ladies, of class and elegance…but all woven together with a common theme of love and family. Hannah and Jake’s wedding at Lord Thompson Manor was everything we want every wedding to be – the bridal party was AMAZING to work with, their families were both humorous and easy going, each detail was meticulously thought through and planned, the venue staff was second to none, and the bride and groom were two of the sweetest and kind-hearted people we’ve ever met. Hannah worked tirelessly for months to plan this destination wedding, all from being at the opposite side of the country, and it all paid off on her wedding day when everything came together perfectly…including the weather holding up when the forecast was grim all week.

One of the things I loved that Hannah and Jake did was a modified first look. They are very traditional and wanted to hold true to the tradition of her parents walking her down the aisle…but they also wanted plenty of time for portraits. Their modified first look took place in the same area as their ceremony, and Hannah had that “aisle moment” right from her first look. Her parents escorted her up the aisle and with tears in both their eyes, Hannah and Jake exchanged their vows in the presence of their closest friends and family. After they were done, everyone hugged them and celebrated, and then we were able to get a lot of the portraits done before their regular ceremony.
