You may remember Brittany and Dan from their engagement session that we did at Eolia Mansion last summer. Brittany and Dan are two fun, loving, kind, and genuine people who made sure their wedding day at Eolia Mansion was a true celebration of their love for one another. With a stellar lineup of vendors, this wedding was not about to disappoint!
I am not sure I have ever seen a groom be so calmly anxious as Dan was when he was waiting up at the altar, the pergola in the gardens of Eolia Mansion, for Brittany to walk towards him. I swear the air was so thick with excitement that it could have been cut straight through, with his stylish Mameluke sword, naturally. And as they exchanged their vows under the glow of the afternoon sunshine, tears streamed down both of their faces. They were overcome with joy, happiness and how strongly they felt towards each other. And if you ask me, a love like that is bound to last forever.
Brittany and Dan, thanks so much for allowing me to be there for your special day!
On hand to getting Brittany and her ladies looking fabulous was the team from Naomi’s Studio and salon. I always breathe a sigh of relief when I walk into the preparation room to see Naomi’s girls, because I know then that they are guaranteed to look flawless for the whole day! Dan has joked a few times about how Brittany and I are twins separated at birth. The theory was confirmed when when I asked who her dress designer was and she said “Jim Hjelm”. He is my absolute favorite gown designer!! She was my first bride ever to wear one of his gowns.I couldn’t resist photographing all of Brittany’s wedding details in this spot – with the lace curtains blowing in the background.Jessica from Jessica’s Country Flowers did a spectacular job with all the florals! So timeless and elegant!Brittany joked about how she and her mom had very similar styles – so much so that they unknowingly bought almost identical shoes for the wedding.Oh, Brit, there are no words.“Stunning” just doesn’t seem to cut it…These two shots are some of my all-time favorite getting ready/bridal portrait shots. I loooove how the light pours in through the window and how her veil and air are backlit. Dan getting all handsomed up. And yes, I just made up the word “handsomed”. He wears a uniform well, right? Pretty sure Brittany definitely agrees with me on that one. Eolia Mansion and estate at Harkness Memorial Park is a stunning location that makes a gorgeous and timeless backdrop for a wedding! It’s go time!Brittany made a long walk down the garden walkway in the garden at Eolia Mansion. it added so much drama to her entrance and allowed everyone to take time to soak in this beautiful moment.Love the way she looks at him!Pretty sure there wasn’t a dry eye in the place as Dan spoke his wedding vows to Brittany under the pergola at Eolia Mansion.I seriously could have photographed these guys in uniform all day. Good thing I am taking a guy who has a pair of dress blues…except that he has yet to wear them for me. 😉 During the recessional Dan’s military buddies spank Brittany on the tush as a way to say “welcome to our military family”. All of their guests definitely got a kick out of this. 🙂
