Eolia Mansion at Harkness Memorial Park engagement session
You know the drill. We buy the pins in the check-out line at the grocery store, but probably cause we only feel obligated to after the cashier asks us to. We stick the bumper stickers on our car. Some of us go so far as attending the charity dinners. All for one reason – “support our troops.” For a brief moment we feel patriotic, like we have done something to make a difference. And we remember those men that are fighting for our freedom and thank God for their sacrifice.
Nobody knows what it is like to support a troop like Brittany.
As we lay our heads on pillow every night and fall asleep knowing that we are safe, there is a girl named Brittany who has fallen asleep many nights knowing that the only thing between her and safety is a man named Dan. He is on the front lines in Iraq – fighting for her freedom, and fighting for her heart. She would give anything to have him back home, to have him hold her in his arms but instead she falls asleep. Alone. By herself. Because she knows how important the freedom of this country is. As she falls asleep, she prays that God will bring him back safely, and she trusts that she will be able to make him the happiest man in the world some day by marrying him.
And that is precisely what is going to happen! I met up with Brittany and Dan to do their engagement shoot at Eolia Mansion at Harkness Memorial Park in Waterford, CT. it was a gorgeous spring day, and we shared lots of laughs ad stories.
There is a team of vendors in Connecticut who are coming together to help Brittany and Dan have the wedding of their dreams! Organized by Jessica Robinson, with the help of some very talented people, Brittany and Dan are going to have an AMAZING wedding at Eolia Mansion. I am privileged to be the photographer who was asked to document this special day. Brittany and Dan – you were a pleasure to hang out with and I can’t wait until your wedding!
I love the backdrop and architecture of Eolia mansion! Eolia Mansion at Harkness Meorial park is such a fantastic place to shoot engagement sessions and weddings.
