I woke up that morning, took a deep breath, and sighed as the sun poured through my window. A beautiful day. For once. This year has been the year of rainy weddings and I was so over the rain. But as I laid in bed and the sun hit my face, I couldn’t help but think that it was a kiss from heaven pouring in, from someone…somewhere… who was obviously happy about this day.
Hair perfectly in place, earrings delicately placed, she took a deep breath and sighed as she put the finishing touches on her ensemble. The light poured through the doors onto her face and made her already glowing self shine even brighter. A kiss from heaven, pouring in and surrounding her.
He waited patiently at the edge of the lake, took a deep breath and sighed as she rounded the corner. This woman with whom he’s already spent so much of his life with was about to be his bride. And the moment she began walking, the skies opened up and a beautiful ray of sunshine came down. A kiss from heaven, on him, as if someone up there was giving their stamp of approval.
I’m not sure if you are the kind of person who believes in chance or heaven or angels, or anything like that. But I am a person who believes, without a doubt that the person who was missing from Amanda and Ryan’s wedding day was totally there in Spirit. I believe those kisses from heaven that were poured out all day were not just coincidental or luck. I believe it was a special man, with a great heart, who left behind an amazing family, but wanted to show in his own way how much he wished he could have been there. And how much he was there.

Amanda got her gorgeous dress from The White Dress by the Shore, which is, in our opinion, the absolute best bridal shop in all of Connecticut. We just adore the ladies there and Amanda did too 🙂
Amanda’s sisters were her maids of honor and they did such a fabulous job!
The room that Amanda got ready at in the Interlaken Inn was super pretty and had perfect light.
I have been S.W.O.O.N.I.N.G over these bridal portraits of Amanda ever since I first saw them in my camera. Absolute, hands down, favorite bridal portraits ever!
Love capturing raw emotion!
Amanda kept a memory of her dad with her all day in the form of a small picture attached to her bouquet, Such a sweet and memorable token.
THESE!!!!! Amanda, you are a knockout. The end 😉
While I was with Amanda in the cottage at Interlaken Inn, Rachel made her way over to the other side of the Inn to shoot the guys getting ready.
The perfectly cloudy sky cast a lovely soft light over the lake at Interlaken inn, which made our jobs easy and resulted in gorgeous photos
The trees out on the lake at Interlaken Inn were absolutely stunningly colorful!
Cutest ringbearers ever!
Amanda and Ryan’s dog, Annie, played her part well during the wedding ceremony.
These two photos sum up our mission statement with photography. I know that everyone who was at Amanda and Ryan’s Interlaken Inn wedding will, upon seeing this photo, remember how much entertainment little Karsten provided during the day 🙂
The lake at Interlaken Inn really is such a stunning backdrop for a wedding ceremony
The grounds of Interlaken Inn are just gorgeous and were a dream to photograph!
One of the things I loved most about shooting Amanda and Ryan’s wedding at Interlaken Inn was all the natural beauty that surrounded the venue.
74 Events did a fantastic job of keeping the dance floor hopping all night!
