I arrived the morning of their wedding to a bright eyed and smiling bridal party, the most pleasant group of girls I’ve ever been around. Briana led me up to the room where she would be getting ready and, on the way up, she told me that of the two of them, mark was definitely the more sentimental one. When we got to the room where all her details were, she showed me her dress and pointed out that on the sleeves of her dress 9 buttons were fashioned, per her request, one for each year she and Mark had been together. I already had a sinking suspicion that she was selling herself short when she told me Mark was the sentimental one, and that was confirmed when she held his letter in her hand. As she ran her finger over the wax seal, placed by Mark, tears began streaming down her cheeks. Her Mother brought her a tissue and said “You made such a good decision marrying Mark. Your life with him is going to be the best, sweetest, and most fun life”. What an incredible thing for a Mother of the Bride to say.

While Briana may be very sentimental herself, she was right about Mark also being sentimental. Never in all my years of photographing have I witnessed such a sweet reaction from a Groom as his Bride walked down the aisle toward him. He sobbed, through smiles. Such a paradox of emotions, but clearly he was overwhelmed with joy and overtaken by her beauty. His brother slipped him a handkerchief to wipe those tears away, and his smiled beamed as Briana was just a few feet away from him. Throughout the ceremony he looked deep into her big green eyes, and the mutual adoration was so clear.

As their day continued on it was filled with nothing but the sweetest tears, the biggest smiles, and the deepest belly laughs. Through toasts and portraits and dances, Briana and mark’s wedding day was one that we will not soon forget. It was everything we love about weddings – an incredible couple, emotionally charged moments, details that are to die for, and a team of vendors that we absolutely love!
