Like a good pair of jeans, your favorite t-shirt, and the comfiest pair of shoes. That sums up how Kimberly and Mark are together, and their vision for their wedding day. I met up with them a handful of weeks ago to do their engagement session on the beach at Barnegat Lighthouse on Long Beach Island. Kimberly grew up going there and, to this day, it’s one their favorite places to retreat to. They were absolute troopers for this session. While the light is golden and it looks like a sunny summer day, the fact is that it was FREEEEEZING. I don’t remember exactly, but I think the temperature was around 19 degrees. However, the freezing cold temp or the blustery wind didn’t stop them from heating up things on Barengat beach. It doesn’t walways happen this way, but sometimes when we meet up with a client for their engagement session, it’s just so obvious they really did it – they found their soul mate, their best friend, and the very best person on the face of the planet to choose to do life with. With each other, they are home. It is apparent in the way that Kimberly looks at Mark, and it’s apparent in how he puts her first. Getting to spend this time with them made me that much more excited about their wedding this year….when, hopefully, it will be a little bit warmer than 19 degrees 😉
