I first met Andrea yearsssssss ago when we attended bible school together. We didn’t know each other terribly well and had different friend circles but, as she recently commented to me, “I don’t know why we never got close enough to see how awesome we both are”. And years later, having now shot her wedding and their anniversary session in Ireland, I would say that I have to agree. I first met James when I photographed their wedding, and it was clear that he was the perfect match for Andrea – Able to keep up with her quick wit and humor, but also steady and strong. I don’t remember which came first – Andrea jokingly asking if I would be in Ireland this summer, or me saying it was an option on the table, but as soon as I made the decision that I would be going to Ireland, i reached out to see if there as any chance we would be there the same time. As luck would have it, our paths crossed by just a couple days, which was enough for us to meet up on the set coast or Ireland, and do an epic anniversary session. it was POURING rain that morning. Like. Downpouring. Monsoon style. But, always up for an adventure, Andrea and James put on their happy faces and made the most of it. And i’m so glad they did, because we had a fantastic time poking around Corcomroe Abbey in the rain.
